Rested and Relaxed!

August 15 is National Relaxation Day, it’s a day to do the things that leave you rested and relaxed. Back in 1985, nine-year-old, Sean Moller, suggested this day. Sean’s grandfather was the founder of Chase’s Calendar of Annual Events, which probably helped National Relaxation Day become a popular unofficial holiday in America. Taking time to relax helps to improve our mental health. We’ll have a Yin Yoga class that evening which would be the perfect way to end this day!
Yin yoga can complement an already active life or help those who feel distracted find peace or relaxation. In general, it is a great practice for those who want to relax.
Yin yoga is practiced sitting or lying on the floor. The pace is slow, so you need to wear comfortable, warm clothes and maybe keep your socks on. In yin yoga, poses are held for a longer period of time. A yin yoga practice helps develop mindfulness skills that can be transferred from the mat to everyday life.
Come join us, August 15, for Yin Yoga and some relaxation!
